Man, these last two weeks have gone by terribly fast for me. After all, I had
by my side.
So! Left for Massachusettes by train first of all: a five or so hour ride to get there. Note to everyone: traveling through Conneticut is just about the most boring thing ever. It wasn't eventful in the least bit. At least I got The Hobbit
done with. After that, he and his dad picked me up from the station, and we ran on way too many subways in order to reach his house. I, surprisingly, wasn't dead from the ride, and later on that evening (after making our steady way through traffic) went to dinner with his brothers in Salem: we ate pizza at a place called The Upper Crust. Good pizza, I tell ya.
Next day: we didnt do much of anything except chill at the house. Everyone either had work or was out doing stuff that day. So we watched the first Lord of the Rings, since I have never seen it before ( Yes Zach, I was a cinematic disgrace ). For dinner, we (once again) got his brothers but went to a place called Kelly's. After that, we all went to the mall. I got myself a hematite owl necklace from the Village Silversmith, and then we went to Barnes and Noble for a bit of time.
The next two days we spent in Boston. The first of the two was when I, Zach and his father went to Quincy Market. Upon getting home, we had dinner and watched Sherlock Holmes: the one with Robern Downy Jr. Second of them, we all went to the Gardner Museum, a massive collection of art and such. We also went to the giant Dick Blick Art Store and played with markers and colored pencils lol.
We then got the chance to see my cousin Sam in Salem. We, meaning Zach and I,went with him and his mother to the House of the Seven Gables and then for lunch. We then all just simply walked around the town under the sun. Sure was nice to catch up again with Sam. We also saw a random dude in Goth/Steampunk clothing (Okay, so it was really just taking a few pictures).
A visit to Hammon Castle was next on the agenda the following day. His dad and the two of us made the journey to this former house built into the form of a medieval castle. Inside was like a treasure trove of awesome: there was just so much stuff to see there! After we drove to Glouster and went to the Village Silversmith there before heading home and watched Van Helsing. And then the next day, we simply finished up watching the rest of the Lord of the Rings trilogy with Return of the King, since the next day we were going to NJ on the train.
2ND PART OF TRIP
This day was uninteresting: 5 hours on the rail, spent drawing, talking and playing Hang Man. Once we got there, we went to Tastee Subs where I inialated a whole turkey sub. Later at night, we designed a ridiculous Lady GaGa outfit: made of the pelts of endangered animals. Her quote when wearing it: "This is for PETA and the vegans!".
Next day, we got a chance to hang out with my pal Jason at his house to swim and play Super Smash Brothers Brawl. He kept on beating both of us, but I dont have the game so it's not my fault I kept on dying first. Then later at night, after eating at the resturaunt Alfonso's, we went to hang with my other friend Jibran at the weekly games night held at the library: that night, they were making foam swords and playing Ultimate Frisbee. Zach ran like hell when playing lol.
New Hope the following day was bright and sunny and just pleasant to walk around. We walked over the Delaware River to both the NJ and PA sides and got amazing ice cream. I got chocolate birthday cake flaovor and it melted way too quickly. Then on the way home, for dinner I introduced Zach to Cheeburger,Cheeburger and the 370,000 different shake option you can make.
New York Rennaisance Faire: bigger and better then last year. How so? We invited two friends: Jibran and another, my friend Shai. Picked the two of them up and we were off on the road to Sterling Forest. Zach was dressed as a highwayman and I a pan flute playing faerie. Once we got there:
- Jib got his fortune told: he said he made the fortune teller tell him exactly what he wanted to hear.
- Shai and Jib had an archery contest. Shai was, no doubt, the better of the two.
- We all had a turn at knife throwing. Zach got one knife in the plank of wood used to throw them. Note to self: dont be Zach's lovely assistant if he throws more lol.
- Just because we could, we broght coconuts to hit together for the noise a horse makes while running around. Awesome Monty Python jokes are awesome. Best part was: one person got the referance and laughed hysterically.
- We saw someone dressed as Finn from Adventure Time
! I went up to him and yelled "Your hat is stupid!" which he then, in character, yelled back "My hat is AWESOME!" He then gave me a huge hug, picked me up and spun me around in the air. Oh yeah, I'm cool like that. : )
- Bought: random crap for my hair and a Steampunk styled mask.
- A person actually knew what my pan flute was! : D
All in all, the day was amazing and awesome. I can't wait to go back, hopefully sometime soon.
A day of relaxation was much needed. So the following day, we both went to see Dinner for Shmucks
. For a PG 13 movie, it sure was innapropriate. I mean, it boarderlined R with some of the stuff that was in it. . ___ . Seriously.
Actually, two days were needed. We didn'd do much on the next, save for going in the pool, watching Cake Boss
and drawing. After dinner, we had a mad intense game of Scrabble with a brief intermission to get ice cream at a place called Polar Cub. The word of the night to beat was going to be PALADIN but Zach didn't have an N to make that happen. XD
Me, Zach and Mom the following day went to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC the next day. And we both came to the decision that modern art is weird and not our style. After the experiance of giving us headaches, we went to the Heartland Brewery just down the street from it: mad delicious, I tell you. We also bought cupcakes from the Magnolia Bakery for later that night. Catching a train then, we went to get dinner at my favorite pizza place: Vinnie's, then headed to the 4-H Fair for a while. Too many alpacas were there: Zach nearly got kicked by one but he was faster. XD
And then, the worst day: when we had to part. It seemed that the day was mocking me: it looked as if it was going to rain any moment, he got an earlier train so our time together was cut short even more. Plus, that day I had to go to the DMV for permit stuff: I find out I have to re-take my written exam for it, the one I already took in school, all over again.
What the f***?
- sighs- I miss him greatly. I didn't want him to leave. We only get to see each other for a few weeks out of the entire year, and it all ended so swiftly.
Never the less, I am now happy. Happy that we at least had time to see each other once again, and happy that I have found someone who is perfect for me.
I love you, Zach!
