All day we fought the tides between the North
Head and the South,
All day we hauled the frozen sheets to scape the
storm’s wet mouth,
All day as cold as charity, in bitter pain and
dread,
For very life and nature we tacked from head
to head.

.... Commission me? D:

Ugh, no has any money to do so anyway to so. It figures: I can't seem to get any money lately from either my art and nothing ( save for my Awkward Turtle shirt lol ) is selling on Zazzle. I'm worth more then one single shirt, you know. -__- Plus, Michael's never got back to me as of late so I don't know what's up with employment there. Say a prayer for me to get a job there soon!

Also, more people should enter my contest rofl: I only have two people in it so far. D: It's to design a new outfit/costume for my character, The Watcher [link] I loves this character ^ ^. But anyway, the contest is to make a new look for him: all the rules and things to help you are on this page - - > [link]

Hrmm... what else.

Oh! I have Sting's new Christmas/holiday album and I like it very much: so very festive, and not corny like half of the holiday songs on the radio this month lol. Also, Zach's coming down later this month so I can't wait for that in the least bit. 8D

So yeah, nothing much then. A short rant possibly, on me being pissed off but nothing much lol.

Peace!

Bitter thoughts became your every waking breath
Save the nights your hollow dreams revealed the sweet release of death
In your thoughts you played a symphony of self
But your soul had bled a darker song of close to nothing left

Oh, The deliverance of blade and flame, your love
And greater is the blood

You’ll find it in the veil of night where solitude is born
In the emptiness of broken flesh, at the mercy of the thorns
You’ll find it in the veil of night where solitude is born
In the emptiness of broken flesh, at the mercy of the thorns

Yes, my friends, I am now announcing a new contest for the holiday season, even if the character being drawn is not festive at all.

Some of you know may know The Watcher, as seen in [link] just completed as of late, and know nothing of him except for his creepy masked visage. What lyes beneath that mask? What other clothing does he don on occasion and what does he fight with and for? All of these questions will be answered by you for this contest, should you wish to be part of it!

THE BASICS

What I want you to generally do is create a full outfit for The Watcher, not just the upper portion of a shot as I have done with the previous picture above. It may be of any design and color as you see fit, with any number of details: all I ask you to do for it is be creative.

These ideas listed will be here to assist you in creating a winning entry:

- The Watcher is known as a "gentleman assassin": he kills only the vilest of criminals and works to protect the common citizen through his own means.

- He has a habit of wearing Venetian Carnival-like masks to conceal his face: try to incorperate this into your entry.

- His clothing are much like that of a wealthy Victorian man but with a sort of steampunk-ish Gothic flair to it.

- He almost always wears a hat of some sort, along with white gloves.

- He is mentally unstable to an extent and, on the rare occassion, this shows through the killings of his victims.

- The Watcher is a character in my book, City of Saints. This will probably not affect your picture: I just wanted to say that lol.

And now… The Prizes!

There will be not just one, but two main prizes!

1st Prize will include:
- One sketch of your winning Watcher concept
- One fully colored Celtic picture, either digitally or traditionally, of the animal or creature of your choice
- A two month’s overview of your Gallery and works in my Journal

2nd Prize will include:
- A sketch of your Watcher entry
- An inked Celtic picture, traditionally, of an animal or creature of your choice
- A one and a half month long overview of your Gallery and works in my Journal

The end date for the contest is JANUARY 5th, 2010!

All entries will be posted up here upon completion of each piece.

On your mark, get set… Go!!!

Open - High Quality Celtic and Fantasy Art. 10 $'s

As of late, I've been supporting the idea of taking commissions to raise money for various reasons. I've had people interested but I simply want to gain a wider audience through dA in the attempts to get some commissions. Currently, I am doing Celtic artwork and fantasy art, mainly dragons and other mythical beasts. For any and all that may be interested, I can do a wide range of them from unicorns to griffins and in between. I do not though draw Celtic creatures who have a human-like form, for people are quite difficult to draw in this specific style.

Original characters, should you ask me to do that, must be animals: I will not accept humans or beings that resemble humans as they are quite hard to draw on a normal basis and also in Celtic art style. Have a three headed dog you want me to make for you? Sure. A mermaid? No. In general, no human-like animals for any Celtic piece.

MEDIUMS

I can do your picture in two different ways: traditionally with Prismacolor markers or digitally on Photoshop. Please note that digital will take a tad bit more of time then the traditional option and that traditional may cost a dollar or two more due to the high amount of details included.

PRICES AND PAYMENT

:star: SALE! All Celtic designs and fantasy pictures are now $10.00! But only through the dates of NOVEMBER 12, 2009 TO JANUARY 1ST, 2010. Disregard the price below on how it is $15.00: right now, the price is set at $10.00. :star:

All prices, at the start, are $15.00 flat, regardless of what you order.

However, prices for a customer will vary on certain factors:

- Whether the picture is traditional or done on Photoshop
- The complexity and how many details there are
- The length of time it takes to complete

All of these three things will be determining factors for the final price.

Also, I will not start your picture until I have received your payment. I want to know that you are serious in commissioning me and this is final. I will not make any exceptions.

If you have a dead line that you need this done by as well, please tell me upon asking for a commission so that I can put it up on my Priority list and tell me you want one at least a month in advance to the dead line you need said picture by.

All Payments must be made through PayPal. Please Note me saying that you want a commission and we will talk from there.

So, who wants a commission? :3

Costume In Progress and Mad Crazy Practices

Words we have said
Grew in my head
Colored my thoughts
Sang me to bed

Lost memories
Grew into trees
Covered the doors
Swallowed the keys

Winters have come and gone
You know
Winters have come and gone
You know
But I'll meet you young and free
For a dance 'round the memory tree

- A Dance Around the Memory Tree by Oren Lavie

Cost list for Halloween costume:

Wine red cloak - $35.00
Elf ear tips - $10.00
Assorted jewels and beading - a total of roughly $10.00
Stick used for staff - Free (( found it in my local park ))

Result - A unique costume which I couldn't be more happy with.

As of late, a lot of stuff has happened. A boatload of S.T.O.P performances, tests and projects in school, searching for just the right materials to create my costume for 2009.

Which is what I'm going to start off with. Right now, I'm almost done completely with my elven druid staff: just finished hot gluing on the jewels, leather and carving on the symbols (( A Celtic swirl on the front and two runes on the upper back side )) and I'm trying to attach a series of three feathers and beads onto it somehow. Also, the cape I finally got I'm so happy with! Even though the cape was supposed to be forest green, the wine red one I purchased yesterday is pretty amazing too. :3 Not to mention the elf ear tips I received yesterday in the mail from Aradani.com. All in all, I'm super happy for this years All Hallow's Eve so I can show off what I've been working on lol.

Next, S.T.O.P. The director of the program, it seems, has gone medieval on us since we've had three performances in the past week and a fourth next week at a local high school. We've only began this year of S.T.O.P and already we're wiped out from her pushing us to ridiculous extremes. I mean, we have four new people and one of our key actors is only available at certain times for certain performances and they still have to learn the ropes and the general way the roles need to be filled out to their full potential. Whatever: maybe I'm just getting fed up with being in the program for all three years that it's been existence.

Still no one's contacted me for a comission, which kind of makes me sad since my prices aren't expensive in the least bit. Only 10 dollars starting price for a traditional Celtic piece. Let's hope someone goes ahead and pays me for one. :3

Peace, everyone!

Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme
Remember me to a girl who lives there
if she would be a true love of mine

Tell her to find me an acre of land
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme
between the sea and silver sand
If she would be a true love of mine

Tell her to plough it with a dandelion thorn
Parsley Sage Rosemary and Thyme
and sow the field with spirits unborn
If she would be a true love of mine.

- The Elven Lover by Omnia

So okay, October is coming around quickly now on autumn wings and it's getting a little bit chilly here in NJ ( Even though it was close to the high 80's where I live lol ). Which means HALLOWEEN is right around the corner now! Good times, getting free candy and showing off your uber amazing costume. Helps that this year it's on a Saturday so I get to wear my costume two days in a row since our school allows us to wear our costumes the day before or on the actual holiday.

This year's costume is an elven druid, so that means I get to play around with all sorts of ideas bouncing around in my mind lol Any tips on how to do this costume are greatly appreciated. All I know is that I'm making a staff for it. :3
