Bird song echoes through ebony night,
A haunting to all who hear.
An enchanting tune that guides those who listen through the dark.
But woe is them, ‘tis a gentle trap luring them deeper to the abyss
As they follow through senseless of all that is around them
The stars above yell in protest against this siren song
Creatures of the earth paw at them.
Yet nothing happens, not a change in their step.

But soft is this!
A louder song comes now!
Overpowering, trumpet like and heralding a sudden change!
And then… it stops.
That bird song tune
No more is it suddenly, the quiet day o
