Oh whats this? A new character's in town? -throws confetti-
Yep yep, this here is my alter ego, whom I have given the name Nimue Avola. Yes, her hair is naturally purple and no, she's not a ninja just because she is standing on water. lol
Here's her bio:
NIMUE AVOLA
Born in the early days of the Egyptian civilization, she was automatically dubbed an outcast amongst others along with being charged with being a servant for the god Set; the god who killed his brother Osiris. But her hair was not the only thing that set her apart from the commoner.
She had been graced with the gift of eternal life by the sun god Re himself.
As she grew, her appearance never exceeded that of a 19 year old teenager, which led to suspicions that she had dabbled in dark forbidden magics, however Avola practiced her own form of the arcane arts. The pharaoh, Ptomely, was highly interested in this and in due time, she found herself taking care of his "most unusual son". This child was highly intelligent but before long became involved in magic as well.
Little did she know that he too had been graced with eternal life. The boy discovered this for himself one day in the library of Alexandria but he then burnt the entire place down.

And now, other info on her
- Age - Eternal but appears to be 19
- Appearance - Long purple hair that changes its shade and hue, depending on where she is reborn.Light green eyes that change like her hair. Height is roughly 5 '2
- Date of birth - Is not known when she was born in Egypt but when reborn in the times of King Arthur, it was dated to be November the 15th. Since then, she has been born again three other times; currently she resides in Arizona, USA.
- Occupation ( Current) - Nimue runs two buisnesses; one, she uses her fortune telling and magic skills by working as a seer and also runs a small book store where one can buy mainly biographies, works of fiction and guides to certain ancient arts (( Wicca, etc))
- Pets - She, in her long life time, has owned many pets but one that has always been with her is a falcon named Montu; called after the Egyptian war god and for his protective nature. The same bird from Egypt has always existed; from the time of her birth through her many re-births.
AURGH, and thats just a sliver of what I plan to write about her lol.
The picture itself is done on Watercolor paper with Prismacolor markers and a Sharpie, along with metallic gold and silver pens. The sunset though was the hardest thing out of all the tiny little details, followed by the phoenix on the top of the border.
You'll be seeing quite a bit of her most likely in 2009 so be on the look out for Nimue. ^^

First thing that struck me was the combination of the vibrant colors. Excellent work, especially on the coloring job. The sky and the fire together are just... epic.
